The Bocek Bow was introduced to Apex Legends back in Season 9, becoming the first crossbow to enter the game since its release. It is one of four Marksmen Rifles and it is still the only crossbow in the game.
Compared to the other weapons in Apex, the Bocek Bow has had multiple ups and downs. When it was released, it was extremely powerful and a go-to weapon for almost every squad. If you had the Bocek, you knew you had a fantastic chance of winning. However, it was the recipient of some downgrades and has since lost its arguably overpowered abilities. Review
The Bocek Bow was extremely powerful when it was released. This made it the victim of several nerfs from the developers and this downgraded how powerful it was. In turn, the Bocek Bow became less popular but it is making a return in recent seasons. It's become quite useful to pick up in Arenas as it performs well as a secondary weapon.
It's not the worst weapon in the game, especially if you want to keep yourself a safe distance away from other squads. However, we feel that there are definitely better long-ranged weapons that you could use.
The Bocek Bow may not be for you, but there are plenty of other weapons to master in Apex Legends. Another Marksman Rifle that you should look at, if you like long-ranged combat, is the Triple Take. Not only is it a powerful weapon, but the distinctive sound it makes when you fire it is quite unnerving to hear in battle.
