Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft's next instalment in the franchise, continues the path started by 2017's Origins and refines the series' RPG-stylings, but will make a change to the Hidden Blade.
While we've known for some time that the trademark weapon is returning after its absence in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, it'll work differently than it did in Origins.

While the game doesn't launch until November 17, YouTuber PrestigeIsKey has revealed that the blade will require a short quick-time event when leaping onto a foe. That means it'll be a one-hit kill, but you'll need to get the timing right. Failing to do so will still deal damage, but it won't finish them off in a single blow.
You can see it from the 17:50 mark in the creator's video below.
In Origins, fans were disappointed to find that the new RPG orientation meant that the hidden blade was no longer an instant kill - even if players had snuck up on their target.
