Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is now live for players all over the world.
The new season implements a ton of content, including a brand new Zombies game mode and some multiplayer game modes.
One aspect that has been bugging a lot of players since Warzone released has been the massive update sizes for Call of Duty.
Now, with the release of Season 2; it appears Activision has warning players using Base PS4s that the game is getting too big.
Here's what they had to say!
Update
In the past, Activision has tried to reduce the file size of their games; and the Season 2 update for PS4 players was only 17 GB. But, a report by Eurogamer has noted that PlayStation users are encountering messages that note they need at least 100 GB of free storage to update.
This is a massive amount of storage, and most players cannot afford to free up this much space.
Well, it appears Activision has acknowledged this, as they have noted the following in a new blog post.
Those who own a standard PlayStation 4 with a default hard drive of 500 GB may need to make room if they have the full versions of Modern Warfare®/Warzone and Black Ops Cold War with all modes and packs installed.
Should you have both games installed and have kept up to date with updates, you may need to delete some unused Game Content to have a successful download and install of the Warzone patch tonight.
We can only assume the game is going to get larger, especially with the rumored new Warzone map coming in a few months.
If you are one of the players using a Base PS4 still, be sure to let us know how you are able to free up all this storage!
