Although players are continuing to enjoy what Call of Duty Vanguard has to offer, the range of game-breaking issues has led to many jumping ship to other shooter titles such as Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042. As Season 1 Reloaded for Vanguard gets underway, leaks surrounding the 2022 Call of Duty release widely believed to be Modern Warfare II continue to appear.
The sequel to 2019's hugely successful reboot of the series achieved record sales and according to a notable leaker, Vanguard's sales performance may see Modern Warfare II arrive earlier than intended, much to the excitement of the community.
Modern Warfare II Early Release Date
According to notable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson, the sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare could release as soon as October due to Vanguard failing to achieve similar sales figures to previous instalments of the franchise. The leaker also claims that official details on the game will be revealed in the Summer.
Moving the release date forward could well be a move from Activision to maximise its profits towards the start of the fourth quarter. "I'd imagine a couple of weeks can make all the difference to investors," Henderson added.
Modern Warfare 2 Reveal Date
As Henderson mentions above, Modern Warfare II will receive an official reveal at some point during the Summer. It's still a way off as to an exact date but it's likely that teasers for the new game could appear as early as Season 4 of Vanguard which is likely to take place in late Spring or early Summer.
