Just a few days before the OpTic Texas Major, the Paris Legion Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise announced Jacob 'Decemate' Cato would leave the team.
The change comes following Legion's winless start to the Vanguard season. In a bid to reverse its fortunes, the team has acquired the services of a hugely talented North American Challengers player.
Joining the team is former Atlanta FaZe substitute Thomas 'GRVTY' Malin, a proven event winner capable of moving Paris towards the top of the current league table.
GRVTY Joins Paris Legion
First reported by CDL Intel's Cory 'CRONE' Davis on February 23, the move comes after scoring multiple tournament victories during the Modern Warfare season. Known for his time on EastR and WestR rosters, GRVTY has finally received the opportunity to showcase his skills on the biggest stage competitive Call of Duty has to offer.
Legion currently sits at the bottom of the league table with a record of no wins to five losses. As a main assault rifle (AR) player, the addition of GRVTY looks to bolster Paris' ability to control the map which has lacked in recent matches.
Will Paris Legion Improve?
The addition of GRVTY to the starting roster is a smart move for Paris, a franchise that has struggled since the inception of the Call of Duty League. Hopefully, the change will spark some kind of resurgence, allowing them to join the tight battle at the top of the table.
