A recent comparison video on Astro Bot shows that Sony's latest darling is seemingly heavily influenced by multiple Nintendo IPs.

A new YouTube video from the YouTube channel GameXplain showcased several similarities between Sony's latest Astro Bot game and many of Nintendo's exclusive IPs, such as Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Kirby. Many platforming levels, tools, and mechanics are similar to most of Nintendo's popular games.
While the video suggests that Nintendo had used the same gameplay and mechanics on their titles before the release of the critically acclaimed Astro Bot, many fans discussed whether Nintendo could actually sue Sony for Astro Bot's likeness to most of its games.

Fans all over the comment section said that Nintendo would lose out to Sony if it tried to sue the Ghost of Tsushima publisher. Some say it will never happen as it would look ridiculous for Nintendo to sue almost everyone for every gaming similarity.
Others pointed out that Astro Bot is exactly what a Nintendo game would be like if its games were running on Sony hardware. Another commenter mentioned they were on the video because of another YouTuber, Asmongold.
Gamers in Asmongold's reaction to GameXplain's original video say that watching Sony versus Nintendo in a lawsuit would be fun just for entertainment. While this may not happen in the near future, Nintendo still has a patent lawsuit to deal with involving Palworld.
Astro Bot has garnered overwhelming positive criticism for its fun and exciting gameplay. Sony has definitely tiptoed into Nintendo territory and laid down the gauntlet; now it's on the House of Mario to step it up on their next-gen system.
The Switch 2 may be just around the corner, and Nintendo fans will likely celebrate once the new powerful Nintendo console launches.
