Pocketpair may be in hot waters as Nintendo prepares the patent lawsuit regarding some mechanics from the survival-crafting game Palworld. However, the developer seems to be unfazed as it partners with PUBG developer Krafton to bring Palworld into mobile.
In a press release posted by Krafton, it mentioned that it will plan to bring the full Palworld experience to mobile. It isn't clear whether the mobile version is a port of the PC and PS5 versions, but the South Korean company stated that the development of Palworld mobile will be handled by PUBG Studios, a creative company under Krafton.

Meanwhile, Palworld fans are divided about this news. In a post on the Palworld subreddit, some fans asked whether mobile phones would be able to handle the game. Others pointed out that it is a bit too early to port the game to mobile, considering that the base game still has a lot of room for future updates. Excited fans are happy to know that Palworld is coming to mobile, with some of them looking forward to its potential Switch release.
Nintendo's lawsuit is still on the way, with the lawsuit focusing on the capturing mechanics that are present in Palworld. The company recently won a $15 million lawsuit against some developers in China who added Ash, Pikachu, and many other Pokemon characters to its game. This just goes to show how Nintendo's legal team perfectly handles cease-and-desist orders and lawsuits, and Pocketpair is in for a tough legal battle.
