Cyberpunk 2077 made history, not only for selling copies but for having one of the rockiest releases in modern-day gaming.
The game has its fair share of bugs and glitches, and players have been reporting news every day.
The game was pulled entirely from the PlayStation store back in December, and developers CD Projekt Red are potentially being sued due to the game's poor release.
Well, the problems do not stop there for CD Projekt Red.
As a new report is citing that staff members of CD Projekt Red knew how buggy the game was prior to its release.
Report
A new piece by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has gained a lot of attraction since it was posted late in the week.
Schreier noted that he spoke to multiple CD Projekt Red employees: Interviews with more than 20 current and former CD Projekt staff.
As well, Schreier has noted the following in regards to the development of the game:
As the launch date drew closer, everyone at the studio knew the game was in rough shape and needed more time
According to several people familiar with the development. Chunks of dialogue were missing. Some actions didn’t work properly.
When management announced in October that the game had “gone gold” — that it was ready to be pressed to discs — there were still major bugs being discovered. The game was delayed another three weeks as exhausted programmers scrambled to fix as much as they could.
It appears the issues for CD Projekt Red are continuing to pile in, and we are sure more news will come to light in the following weeks!
