While last week we saw a number of drops take place, the week before was very quiet, this is because PS5 stock drops tend to come in waves.

They have also stated that this will be an exclusive drop, available only for BT broadband customers that have received a code.

UPDATE 7 January: It looks like today may be a little quiet on the stock drop front. however, it's looking increasingly likely that we'll see restocks next week.
According to PS5 Stock UK, PS5 shipments are beginning to arrive into UK retailers, which means that we should all be on high alert from next week onwards.

UPDATE 5 January: It looks like it's still fairly quiet on the PS5 stock front and it's a sentiment shared by the folks at PS5 Stock UK too.
However, according to the latest tweet, we could see a restock towards the 2nd half of the month, which we'd agree is likely.
If a restock is heading our way around that time, we could even see another GAME drop, which has proved fruitful for many over the past year thanks to their inclusion on multiple bundles and anti-scalping tech.

UPDATE 4 January: Over the holidays things have been fairly quiet on the stock drop front, with the last being from AO and GAME on December 30th.
But what will 2022 bring? Well, as of right now we're not predicting too many drops as many places may still be 'warming up' from the long break, however, we do have higher hopes for the end of the week.
As for 2022 in general, while we hope the PS5 shortage will change the reality may be quite different. PS5s have been tough to come by since release well over a year ago now, and many of us are still trying to secure one.
For this week, we'd say the key retailers to look out for are Amazon and Argos, based on when they last dropped, so stay glued to Twitter or make sure you're signed up to Stock Informer to up your chances.
UPDATE 31 December: So far this week, GAME, John Lewis and AO have all released stock.
John Lewis released both the Disc and Digital editions of the console whereas GAME and AO had various bundles up for grabs.
While John Lewis sold out very quickly, the bundles released from AO and GAME were still available for several hours after release.
It seems that if you're looking to secure a PS5 you'll have better luck if you go for a bundle rather than the standalone console.
We're also hoping that in 2022 things begin to ease up and stock becomes more readily available.
At the moment, we haven't had any official news of upcoming releases, however, it could be worth keeping your eyes peeled for any surprise drops we may get before the year is out.

UPDATE 24 December: Yesterday Currys released various PS5 Digital edition bundles, including the Pulse 3D headset and WD_Black internal SSD.
The PS5 Digital edition plus the WD_Black internal SSD bundle from Currys was still available several hours after release.
And It seems that some of the more expensive bundles released yesterday by GAME were also still up for grabs earlier today.
This could mean that stock is starting to become more accessible as it is not selling out instantly, which is excellent news for those that have waited patiently to get their console.
We're hoping this trend continues and the stock becomes easier to obtain in the new year, only time will tell.

UPDATE 23 December: A huge drop from GAME has gone live as of 9.20 am today with multiple bundles and stand-alone consoles available online.
The drop could be the last major drop of the year, however, we'll have to wait and see as to what smaller retailers may have up their sleeves.

UPDATE 17 December: Currys went live earlier this morning and it looked like a decent drop, offering both bundles and enhanced anti-bot measures too.
But will that be the last of it for this week? We wouldn't rule out a surprise drop from Amazon, but we'd say it may well be.
The (sort of) good news for next week is that Argos may be having a drop. According to PS5 Stock UK, apparently, the Argos drop tipped for today has been pushed back to 'early next week'.

UPDATE 2 December: Smyths Toys had in-store pre-orders available just after 8 am this morning, with only a limited number of PS5 Disc Edition consoles available.
The in-store pre-orders required you to pay a £20 deposit and pay the rest of the money upon collection.
PlayStation Direct were also due to drop this morning however they had to cancel due to a technical fault.
They have assured those who received a code that they will be invited to another exclusive event for a chance at purchasing a PS5, although they have not given any indication of when this will take place.

UPDATE 1 December: It appears that a number of restocks have been occuring in Europe, specifically Amazon Spain and Amazon Italy.
However, how likely is this to become a sort of domino effect that leads to a drop in the UK?

UPDATE 11 November: Yesterday saw the launch of the PlayStation Direct store in the UK, this brings us another platform to find console stock online, however, there are, of course, currently sold out of PS5's.
We hope to hear shortly of upcoming restocking from PlayStation Direct, we'll be sure to update you as soon as we hear anything from them.
As previously mentioned, If PS5 Stock UK on Twitter is accurate with their claim, Argos could be releasing stock either today or tomorrow, however, there is no official word from Argos on this.

UPDATE 10 November: It seems as though yesterday we were hit with a flood of PS5 stock, with releases from Very, ASDA and AO.
Very even surprised us with a second drop again today releasing more stock, including both editions of the console and various bundles up for grabs.
As previously mentioned, PS5 Stock UK on Twitter has claimed that Argos could be going live with stock between 9 -12 November, while this hasn't been officially confirmed, we're staying on high alert in case a drop does go ahead.

UPDATE 9 November: ASDA went live with PS5 stock this morning and as expected, sold out incredibly quickly.
Very also released stock an hour or so later than ASDA, with both editions and various bundles up for grabs.

As previously mentioned, PS5 Stock UK on Twitter claimed that Argos could drop from today to 12 November, although we haven't had any official word on this, be sure to stay on high alert as it could take place any moment.

UPDATE 8 November: As a new week begins, we hope to see more announcements and stock releases heading our way.
Over the weekend, ShopTo went live with stock, with both Disc and Digital Editions available plus various bundles up for grabs.
For those of us still searching, PS5 Stock UK on Twitter has stated that Argos could be going live with stock between 9 - 12 November.

UPDATE 5 November: Congratulations to those who managed to secure a PS5 from GAME yesterday, speed was essential as this sold out very quickly.
When attempting to buy a PS5 we recommend going for the big-ticket items such as bundles as there tends to be less competition for them, though, of course, you still have to be very quick.
In terms of where to look next, we haven't received any official word on upcoming drops however, this time last month, it was also a little quiet as retailers restocked behind the scenes.
We're hoping to see a similar trend in November, with momentum building towards the end month, which means it is unlikely we'll see another drop before the weekend, though there is always a chance.

UPDATE 4 November: GAME has just confirmed that it will be going LIVE with a PS5 Disc restock this morning. We're expecting it to be anywhere between 10am - 11am, so be sure to switch notifications on so you don't miss it.
Our best advice with getting a PS5 from GAME is to go for the bundles. They will be slightly more expensive, but on the whole people tend to go for the standalone consoles, leaving the bundles easier to grab.
UPDATE 3 November: While we're excited about the GAME Drop, we're never want to put all our eggs in one basket, and thankfully it seems that they're not going to be the only major restock this month.
John Lewis is tipped for a restock towards the end of the month, namely 25th-26th according to PS5stockalertsUK.
The chances of getting a PS5 from John lewis are as tough as the rest of the retailers, but a few things will give you the edge.
We'd recommend sticking post notifications on this month and of course signing up to Stock Informer to make sure you never miss a drop!

UPDATE 2 November: While there doesn't appear to be a dorp happening anytime soon, there is one store that could deliver the goods this month.
It appears that GAME has updated their bundles page with a release date of 19th November, which means that we could see a drop happen around a week or so before that date.
While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, we've got our eyes peeled for an announcement from themselves, as they are one of the few retailers who like to give us a heads-up ahead of a restock.
Don't expect to hear an exact time though, as GAME only give a general release window in the day, more often than not it's the morning.

The more PS5 stock drops, the more we learn what to do and what not to do when it comes to getting securing the console.
We're by no means saying that these will guarantee you success, but it's worth doing them if you're not already to increase your chances.
Be prepared for a midnight drop
We've seen PS5 stock appear at some fairly inconvenient times, notably with Argos, who dropped stock in the middle of the night.
If there's a rumour circulating, we don't advise staying up, but if you're up already it could be worth being on high alert!
The Wishlist Technique
Amazon users have seen some good success with adding the PS5 to their wishlist and then purchasing from there.
It's a technique that appears to be making the rounds and could be well worth trying for yourself if you're on the hunt.
Pre-filling Account Details
More often than not, it comes down to mere seconds to get your PS5, and one way you can shave off sometimes is by making sure your account details are all ready to go on your selected retailer.
Go for the bundles!
This is perhaps the most important piece of advice and one that circulated around even when the PS5 was released initially.
Popularity for a bundle that comes with a shirt, extra controller, charging station and so on, is seemingly less than the standalone console. Head of that way to partially avoid the traffic!
