Vault of Glass, Destiny's first raid, is being re-introduced with the arrival of the Destiny Content Vault – but that's only half the story.
While the raid itself arguably remains the most popular in the franchise's history, its rewards remain iconic.
While we have no idea if Gjallarhorn will make its return, we do know that Fatebringer will be returning.
Here's all we know.
Destiny 2 Fatebringer Guide
Fatebringer is a hand cannon that saw several revisions across Destiny 1's life cycle.
Regardless of which year it was earned, the gun was notorious for its utility against crowds of enemies.
Originally one of the few hand cannons with the chance to explode enemies, it was ideal for wrecking trash mobs.
Destiny 2 Beyond Light: How To Get Fatebringer
This remains a little up in the air, but we can certainly assume it'll drop from the Vault of Glass raid.
Destiny 2's Assistant Game Director Joe Blackburn has already noted as much in an interview with Polygon.
Fatebringer was available as a reward for defeating The Templar in the original game, but only on Hard Mode.
In fact, the Adept version (an Exotic) was available if Guardians completed one of two challenges:
- Defeat the Templar before it teleports
- Every Guardian must kill an Oracle when Atheon opens the timestream
These are challenges that require a fair amount of coordination, but it'll be interesting to see if the means of acquiring Fatebringer are the same.
