Season of the Deep will bring massive changes to Destiny 2. For one, it will see the return of Titan as Commander Sloane will play a key role in the story, and more importantly, we'll have brand-new weapons to chase, like the Last Rite Scout Rifle, Season 21's ritual weapon.
Ritual weapons are the evolution of what we once knew as pinnacle weapons, extremely powerful gear that wasn't a random loot drop nor part of the seasonal assortment of new weaponry, meaning they didn't drop from the seasonal activity.

In similar fashion, you won't get ritual weapons from seasonal activities, rather you'll have to play the good-old-fashioned ritual playlists that become the bread and butter of Destiny 2 hardcore players once the new weekly missions and seasonal content are completed.
Last Rite Scout Rifle - How to get
To get your hands on this sweet Tex Mechanica-manufactured Scout Rifle, the Last Rite, you must grind reputation ranks in Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit. That means, playing a lot of Strikes and Battlegrounds, PvP, and well, Gambit matches.
You will have to get to rank 16 to pick up the weapon from either Commander Zavala (Vanguard Ops), Lord Shaxx (Crucible), or The Drifter (Gambit). Regardless of who you chose to grind first, you'll be able to pick the weapon again from another vendor, provided you hit rank 16 with them as well.
That's not the only thing you can grind for, however, once you hit a rank reset you'll be able to earn ornaments for the Last Rite. You need to reach rank 16 once more to get them.

Grind some Strikes, Battlegrounds, and Nightfalls to get this one.
Last Rite Crucible ornament
Enjoy any type of PvP such as regular Crucible, Trials of Osiris, and Iron Banner to get this one.
Last Rite Gambit ornament
The Last Rite Scout Rifle - God Roll
At the time of writing, we don't know which perks the gun will come with. They can't be random and are all curated, so regardless of which vendor you rank up first, they'll all come with the same perks.
What we do know is that the Last Rite Scout Rifle will come with two selectable perks in columns two and three and will feature all three Origin Traits from the three vendors as previous ritual weapons. These are:
- Vanguard's Vindication: Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health
- One Quiet Moment: Grants increased reload speed when out of combat
- Gun and Run: Rapidly defeating targets with this weapon grants bonus sprint speed. Guardians, powerful combatants, and high-value targets grants this bonus quicker
It's possible that it comes with a fourth Origin Trait considering it's a Tex Mechanica weapon, as these have their own personalized trait, however, that remains to be seen.
We highly suggest you grind this weapon as soon as it becomes available. Tex Mechanica armory includes stylish guns that boast a wild, wild, west flair, and the Last Rite looks no different. Plus, they're an exclusive bunch, with this one being only the third Scout they've manufactured (the other two being the Dead Man's Tale exotic and the Long Arm).
