Call of Duty’s Zombie mode has always been surprisingly detailed and stacked-full of hidden secrets for players to discover.
What on the surface can appear as just another horde mode, is a game type with so much lore and attention crafted into it, we love it!
And it appears that Black Ops Cold War makes no exception, given that some spectacular Easter Eggs have been found already including a giant monster that may even become a boss later down the line!

Some players have been able to get closer to the Boss Monster and posted a video on Twitter!

If you take a look at its right hand, the claws look very similar to the Giant Hand we see elsewhere in the stage, so perhaps this is the same or at least a similar monster?
How To Find The Boss Monster
At this point in time, we are not 100% sure how finding the boss monster is achieved.
Videos are beginning to circulate online of players seeing the Monster in the background of the Die Maschine map, but what it was that caused it to appear is unknown.
To see the beats it appears as if you have to find yourself back in the real world, so that’s one thing, but exactly what you’d do before then is a real mystery.
There’s likely some specific number of enemies you must kill or actions you have to perform first.
In the video, MrRoflWaffles outlines more of the CoD Zombies story and explains for this monster ties into it all.

He explains that Zombies may no longer be the only elements that start bleeding through from the Dark Aether, perhaps scarier bosses will start accompanying them too.
For now, it appears that the monster is not interactable, but that doesn’t mean it never will be.
The beast is a real behemoth but isn’t the only giant creature on the Die Mschine map.
As shown below, you can also find a Giant Hand, this time in the Dark Aether.
By shooting open a door the massive clawed appendage lurches out, and perhaps could be somehow linked to the monster we can see when we return to the outside world.
