Originally, Halo Infinite was set to be the premier launch title for the Xbox Series X/S next month.
Although the game was receiving mixed reactions from the gameplay we have seen thus far, fans were still optimistic about another Halo title.
Now, we are all well aware the game has been delayed until sometime in early 2021 for development reasons.
However, Phill Spencer has noted the possibility of the campaign and multiplayer releasing separately for Halo Infinite.
Interview
Stephen Totilo from Kotaku sat down with top Microsoft and executive Phil Spencer who is well known within the gaming community.
Touching on an ample amount of topics, including the release of future consoles down the line; along with Microsoft's emphasis on cloud gaming as of late.
Of course, the topic of Halo was prompted to Phill by Stephen and whether or not we could see the two game modes releasing at separate times come 2021.
"Bonnie and the team will go drive those decisions,"
"But I think we want to make sure people feel like they have a Halo experience. I think we can look at options like that."
"So, yeah, I think that's something to think about, but we want to make sure we do it right,"
According to Phill, it appears anything is on the table going into the release of Halo.
It was confirmed some time ago that the multiplayer of Halo Infinite was going to be free to play for all gamers over the world.
This was a surprise decision, but one that is welcomed by fans and supports the notion that Xbox should look at releasing the game modes separately.
If the multiplayer component is finished, why not release it to fans so we can check out the exciting new Halo earlier than intended!
