Far Cry 6 is available for preloading on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S now, and if you already have automatic downloads activated, it should have started downloading already.
If not, head to your game library under the "Games and Apps" section, then choose to view all owned games. Far Cry 6 should be listed on there, and you can choose to download it. It's roughly 40 GB minus the day one patch.

Far Cry 6 preload on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 begins October 5. That's 48 hours before release, the same as PlayStation preloads work for essentially any other game. You'll need roughly 40 GB of free space on PlayStation as well.
