Next up in our Ratings Refresh Predictions this Winter in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, it’s France’s Ligue 1, with a number of interesting upgrades expected.
Ratings Refresh will see a number of player's base cards get a boost to reflect their great form.
Ligue 1 Ratings Refresh Predictions
While there aren’t a tonne of top tier players in Ligue 1, you can still expect a number of exciting upgrades this Winter.
Marco Verratti - 86 > 87 (+1)
As always, Verratti has been a consistent performer for PSG this season, with 5 assists to his name from midfield - SoFIFA has him receiving a +1.
Angel Di Maria - 86 > 87 (+1)
Despite being behind Mbappe and Neymar in goals, Di Maria tops the assist charts with an impressive 11 to his name, as well as 6 MOTM awards.
Mauro Icardi - 85 > 86 (+1)
The Argentine has 10 goals to his name this season, with a solid rating on WhoScored, and should be enough to see him receive an upgrade.
Wissam Ben Yedder - 83 > 85 (+2)
Possibly the most exciting upgrade from this batch, the Monaco ST has 16 goals to his name already this season, with a number of IFs. This could be one to watch!
Memphis Depay - 84 > 85 (+1)
Expect a small upgrade for the Dutchman this winter, having netted 9 goals and 4 MOTM awards for Lyon so far this season.
Idrissa Gueye - 83 > 84 (+1)
A near-certain upgrade for Gueye, having been one of the standout performers for PSG outside of the attacking trio of Neymar, Di Maria and Mbappe.
Dimitri Payet - 81 > 83 (+2)
A left-wing position change is likely for the 32-year-old, who seems to have refound his old form at Marseille this season, bagging an impressive 7 MOTM awards in the league.
Juan Bernat - 80 > 82 (+2)
Another consistent performer for PSG this season, SoFIFA have Bernat receiving at least a +1 upgrade this winter.
Moussa Dembele - 80 > 82 (+2)
The 23 year old has gone from strength to strength again this season, bagging 13 goals in Ligue 1 for Lyon, not only enough to get a Future Stars item, but also a Winter Upgrade.
Benjamin Andre - 78 > 81 (+3)
With 4 MOTM awards for Lille this season, I can see Benjamin Andre getting a nice boost to take him over the 80 rating mark.
Aleksandr Golovin - 79 > 81 (+2)
With 3 goals, 3 assists and 3 MOTM awards for Monaco, I’d expect to see the Russian midfielder getting a small upgrade and a position change to a CM soon in FUT.
Teji Savanier - 79 > 81 (+2)
A slight outsider this pick, but Savanier has been key to Montpellier’s season, with 6 goal contributions and 2 MOTM awards from central midfield.
Jonathan Ikone - 78 > 81 (+3)
The youngster has certainly been having a decent season, bagging a Future Stars card in FUT, and potentially a decent upgrade to match his growing potential.
Youcef Atal - 77 > 80 (+3)
Having played a little further forward than RB, expect a position change for this Atal card - SoFIFA see him getting an upgrade, as do I.
Victor Osimhen - 74 > 79 (+5)
The 21-year-old Nigerian has been on fire this season, netting 12 goals for Lille, as well as receiving a Future Stars Academy card, as well as a big predicted winter upgrade.
Islam Slimani - 74 > 79 (+5)
Slimani has had a solid season in Ligue 1, with 8 goals and 7 assists to his name for Monaco, and should definitely get back up to the gold rating he deserves.
Denis Bouanga - 75 > 79 (+4)
7 goals, 3 assists and an impressive 6 MOTM awards so far this season for the Gabonese winger, he’s set to receive a tasty upgrade during this Ratings Refresh.
Gautier Larsonneur - 73 > 78 (+5)
The young GK has been a star for Brest this season, picking up the most MOTM awards for them this season, and is the highest-rated GK in the league.
Habib Diallo - 74 > 77 (+3)
12 goals and 3 assists for the Metz ST should be enough to see him receive a decent boost, with SoFIFA predicting at least a +2 boost for him.
William Saliba - 71 > 75 (+4)
The 18-year-old was heavily tipped to receive a Future Stars item and should receive a decent boost to show his increased potential.
Mounir Chouiar - 65 > 74 (+9)
The 21-year-old winger has been a consistent performer for Dijon, with a 7.28 WhoScored rating, as well as SoFIFA predicting a boost well into the 70s.
Axel Disasi - 67 > 74 (+7)
SoFifa predicts at least a 72 rated upgrade for Disease, and I’d go even further potentially with him putting in solid performances for Reims this season.
Expected Release Date for Ratings Refresh
Last year, we saw Ligue 1 upgrades released around February 21st. I’d expect a similar release date this year, depending on how EA structure their promos.
