After a FUTMAS filled season in December, we have the potential to see some amazing Player of the Month items released into FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.
In a year that brought us Icon Set 2, TOTY Nominees and much more, there's one last thing to look forward to from 2019.
Four Player of the Month items are set to be released from the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga for December 2019.
This article will cover the predicted winners and release dates for all four POTM SBCs, as well as potential investments and costs for each of the predicted POTM SBCs.
Player Of The Month Predictions And Guide
Premier League POTM - Kevin De Bruyne
For me, the December Player of the Month for the Premier League is between Kevin De Bruyne and Danny Ings.
For me though, the Belgian has to take it with 1 more goal contribution and better record with Manchester City over December.
Price
Being a potential 95 rated POTM SBC, this Kevin De Bruyne card will not be cheap. I’d be expecting him to be around the 1 million coin mark.
Investment Tips
From an investment standpoint, a general club stock of high rated cards, including Belgians and Premier League players will be the safest bet.
If this SBC is any cheaper, you can probably look at some link investments as people will get him into their teams. Players like Scream Aguero, IF Walker etc should do well!
Release Date
The Premier League December POTM SBC is expected to be released around January 10th.
Ligue 1 POTM - Kylian Mbappé
Whichever way we cut it, for the Ligue 1 December POTM, we’re getting an incredible card, with Mbappe and Neymar both the two favourites, with 7 goal contributions each, and PSG having perfect December, picking up 12 points from their 4 games.
For me, Mbappe takes the award purely down to scoring more goals than Neymar.
Price
If this Mbappe is released and is priced reasonably (i.e. around 1.5m coins),
Investment Tips
Expect SBC fodder (i.e. cheap 83-91 rated cards) to rise nicely in value. TOTY Mbappe is going to be a very expensive card, and this POTM Mbappe will be the next highest version, so a lot of people will rush to complete this card, meaning cards used in SBCs will rise.
In terms of link investments, I’d only really look at Neymar if a lot of people are completing this POTM Mbappe, the two are very popular links for high end FUT squads.
Release Date
I’d expect the Ligue 1 December POTM SBC to be released towards the latter stages of January, as the November POTM SBC is still available for a good 3 weeks.
Bundesliga POTM - Jadon Sancho
Jadon Sancho looks set to be the Bundesliga’s December POTM, after picking up 4 goals and 3 assists for Dortmund.
Timo Werner appears to be the 2nd likely candidate, with 5 goals and 1 assist, however after winning November POTM and having 1 less goal contribution, I can see the Englishman taking the award.
Price
I don’t expect this SBC to cost much over 200-250k coins due to his low shooting and passing stats.
Investment Tips
For investments, I wouldn’t really be looking much outside of 83-86 rated cards, with a focus on the Bundesliga and English players if possible.
Furthermore, don’t expect too many link investments to rise, as I don’t think Sancho will make it into many teams.
Release Date
I’m expecting the Bundesliga December POTM SBC to be released in mid-January, around January 15th-17th.
La Liga POTM - Luis Suárez
The nominees for La Liga POTM have been announced, and Luis Suarez looks to be the winner comfortably, with 3 goals and 6 assists over the month.
The other nominees are Sevilla’s Diego Carlos and Getafe’s Angel.
Price
Despite potentially being a 91 rated card, I wouldn’t expect this SBC to be too costly, given that IF Suarez is priced around only 120,000 coins on the market.
Being a POTM card, I’d estimate this SBC to cost around 250k-300k.
Investment Tips
With 84-87 rated cards being the main requirements. Barcelona, La Liga and Uruguay players would be some specific investments you could look to make.
Release Date
I’d expect the La Liga December POTM SBC to be released at some point during the next week, probably between January 8th and 10th.
