EA Sports has tonight announced that they will not release a FIFA 21 demo on PS4 or Xbox One.
Typically the developer launches a short demo to give fans a taste of what to expect from the full release, but for one reason or another, EA Sports have decided to ditch the demo this year.
The developer released a statement on Twitter to fans which read:
"We aren't releasing a demo for FIFA 21. Instead we've made the decision to focus our development team's time on delivering the best full game experience for current & next-gen consoles. We look forward to EA PLAY members jumping in 10 days from now and launching the game Oct 9."
Whether this decision is a result of delivering the game across so many consoles at once, or a combination of development being hit due to COVID-19, isn't clear. The game is already releasing later than usual this year, so it's clear the development has had a harder time of it in 2020.
However, the statement does seem to imply that FIFA 21 early access for the game (for EA Play subscribers) should begin on October 1.
