The Call of Duty series is no stranger to giving players a chance to get a taste of its latest title ahead of launch. With Activision slowly revealing more and more information on Modern Warfare 3, players have begun turning their full attention towards the next chapter of the publisher's FPS series.
As the rumour mill surrounding Sledgehammer Games' latest project continues turning, a recent teaser has confirmed the return of an iconic weapon, while more official announcements have revealed intel on Open Combat Missions and the new Tac Stance mechanic.
The latest leak doing the rounds involves the Modern Warfare 3 beta. After some pre-order bonuses confirmed that the event is coming, this leak has potentially revealed its start date.
Modern Warfare 3 beta start date leaked
After visiting his local GAME store, content creator Ryan Alexander grabbed a photo of some paperwork that they claim reveals when players could get their first chance to play Modern Warfare 3.
As expected, this potential has generated plenty of excitement among players looking forward to playing the game for the first time. One responded to the tweet: "So excited!"
Amongst the excitement, there are players frustrated about having to wait. One argues: "PlayStation exclusive is a big L once again." If the leak is accurate, it appears the Modern Warfare 3 beta will be exclusively available for users of Sony's console a week prior to unlocking on other plaforms.

Call of Duty betas have often featured on PlayStation before Xbox and PC, thanks to Sony's current exclusivity deal with Activision, but with Microsoft looking to complete its deal to acquire the publisher, Modern Warfare 3 might mark one of the last times PlayStation users get Call of Duty early.
As with all leaks, it's important to take this with a pinch of salt until official word on the date arrives. Though, this apparent GAME leak would corroborate with an Insider Gaming report that also claims the action will commence on October 6, 2023.
