Call of Duty games feature all kinds of items capable of giving players the upper hand over the course of a match. Ranging from grenades to claymores, there's plenty of choice when building the best loadout for multiplayer.
With all eyes turning to what Modern Warfare 3 has in store, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have already revealed intel on the new Tac Stance mechanic and the map list, which is set to take Call of Duty fans on a trip down memory lane.
Leaks surrounding the sequel to Modern Warfare 2 continue to emerge. The latest of these potential revelations suggests that the game could see significant changes to how one particular piece of equipment behaves.
Modern Warfare 3 equipment change leak splits players
According to notable Call of Duty leaker HeyImAlaix, Sledgehammer Games might be planning to change the behaviour of throwing knives in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer.
Players were quick to spot the connection between the two images in the leaker's post about the weapon. One responded: "(There's) no way throwing knives are going to be a two shot,", while another added: "(This would be) the first L (for) the game."
This potential leak follows Sledgehammer Games' announcement of some upcoming health changes, which have already divided players preparing to load into the action. Instead of a default 100 points of player health, the next Call of Duty will feature an increased value of 150, in a bid to increase the time to kill.

It's worth noting that leaks should always be taken with a pinch of salt until Activision or Sledgehammer Games provides official info on any changes. However, this particular leaker has an impressive track record, so there's a chance there's some legitimacy to their claim.
If accurate, throwing knives requiring two hits to eliminate an opponent would be an interesting move. Considering Sledgehammer Games is determined to address player feedback with its latest Call of Duty offering, there's always a chance of the decision being reversed to allow those epic cross-map knife kill clips to flourish once again.
