We recently reported on the results of Activision Blizzard's recent earnings report, which provided interesting information on the number of active subscribers for MMORPG World of Warcraft.
In the same earnings report, the publisher noted that Destiny had reached a total of 20 million registered users, up from the 16 million that was reported by numerous news outlets back in February. They also noted that they're still seeing "strong engagement", with active players spending an average of three hours per day on the title.
During the meeting, Activision additionally laid out plans to further support Destiny with additional content updates. We already know of the first two expansions, with House of Wolves being released on May 19th, and rumours are afoot of a further major expansion due in September.
The CEO of Activision Publishing, Eric Hirshberg, stated that Destiny had a "major content release" coming this fall which will be the biggest one the title has received to date. This, in conjunction with the recent trademark of The Taken King lends additional weight to the possibility that we have the new expansion's title locked down.
The best Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare teams from around the world are set to compete at the Gfinity Spring Masters I, May 8-10th. You can grab tickets to spectate the entire thing live, or read up on additional information here.
