Since Diablo 4 arrived early last month, those who approached it with the perfect build in mind and plenty of spare time have been making great progress towards their goal of burying Hell beneath a mountain of corpses.
While some players have taken some time out from grinding to help one of the game’s voice actors find their lines or appreciate the emotional message of a side quest, others have kept their pedal to the metal in order to reach level 100.
With the game’s first season fast approaching, some of the hardcore hellspawn who haven’t been busy creating their own party finding and enchanting outcome predicting tools have been spending their time further honing their boss battling skills, possibly leading to a recent rise in the desire for changes to the big baddies end-game players are taking on.
Do you think Diablo 4 could do with a few more unique bosses for players to battle?
At the start of a recent thread on the Diablo 4 subreddit, user JamboreeStevens gained a substantial amount of upvotes for pointing out that the amount of dungeon variations on offer in the game vastly outnumbers the number of unique bosses that can be encountered in them.
A large number of fellow players seem to agree with their call for Blizzard to increase the amount of memorable foes that can be encountered by those grinding away for better gear, with some suggesting that the lesser bosses from the game’s campaign, such as Elias, would fit the bill.
On the other hand, in another recent post to the subreddit, user Ziid10 suggested that bosses from previous entries in the series, outfitted with interesting reward items to drop, would be a good pick to fill the void, adding the potential for a nostalgia-filled surprise to any playing session.
User Fleshypudge even went as far as compiling a list of where bosses ranging from Blood Raven to The Skeleton King would best fit into the game in their estimation, with some serving as legion bosses, others occupying dungeons and a few featuring in helltides.
With Diablo 4’s first season set to kick off later this week, it certainly seems like these players are hoping that the in-game events Blizzard will be following it up with will contain some fresh foes that can stop bosses like The Tomb Lord from continuing to appear at the end of nearly every dungeon.
