While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky antics and spending all of their hard-earned cash.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what or who it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
However, it seems that one player’s ability to do so has been severely hampered by their former friend, who GTA players on Reddit think has gone a bit too far with a prank.
Have you ever forsaken a GTA friend like this?
This trick is the subject of a thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from the rapscallion responsible for it, user Slayee_Kirbi, who shared a clip of them jumping out of a truck right at the end of a mission, resulting in it rumbling on into the sea, with this destruction causing the mission to fail.
They captioned this crime: “Me and my friend grinded (the) Cayo (Perico Heist) back to back for about three hours and while getting this prepped, (then I) did this…”
Naturally, the majority of their grind-savvy fellow players weren’t too impressed by this betrayal of trust, with user xslite saying: “Bro probably thinks he's the funniest guy in the world.” and kezzeks musing: “If you aren't friends (in real life), I would 100% assume you did that on purpose to troll me and you'd have, innocently or not, made an enemy for life.”
A number of others suggested they'd react in a similar manner, with user I1221Me saying: “I'd unfriend you.”, while necroticnitsua declared: “I'd unfriend him (and then) grief him.” and 1PU6 suggested: “I would marry his mom, be his dad (and) then leave him.”
Meanwhile, user GodKilo took a guess at why Slayee_Kirbi might have chosen to do this to their partner, saying: “Tell me you're getting a 15% cut without telling me…”
On the other hand, user Th1jzzZ_ tried to persuade the GTA gods that the move shouldn’t have failed the mission, protesting: “But Rockstar! It's a boat!” and replying to Super-Octopus’ retort that said boat was strapped to a truck: “(That’s a) minor detail.”
Regardless of whether you think this plea would hold any water in a GTA court, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
