Modders on PC are constantly changing up the protagonist of games in order to make things a little more surreal and amusing.
No matter whether it’s Sonic or Morbius in Skyrim, DC superheroes or Mario and Luigi in Elden Ring or Master Chief in Yakuza Zero, these mods are always fun, and now that Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered has made its way onto the cursed platform, it’s become a part of the trend.
While the likes of Kermit the Frog, Homer Simpson and Spongebob Squarepants have already been imbued with web-slinging abilities, now it’s the turn of everyone’s favourite Star Wars villain.
Fancy making Darth Vader save a few lives for a change?
The mod that brings the heavy-breathing sith lord to New York is naturally called ‘Darth Vader’ and is the work of modder Princec23, who’s previously given the same treatment to the likes of Shrek and Sonic the Hedgehog.
This time though, they’ve decided to import Emperor Palpatine’s mate into the game, giving ol’ Vader back the kind of agility he had before that unfortunate encounter on Mustafar when Obi-Wan had the high ground, as you can see in the video below.
If you recognised the model of Vader being used in that clip, that’s because it’s the one from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the mod also includes the character’s iconic Imperial March theme music as an option file, just in case you want to up your immersion a bit.
On the other hand, if you’re the kind of person who might be ecstatic to find out that there’s now an Elden Ring version of Google Street View, another recent Spider-Man mod might be more up your alley.
This mod is BLIBBLOB101’s ‘Sekiro’ giving you the chance to play as Wolf, the legendary protagonist of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, whose grappling hook experience might come in handy to help him master his new powers.
So, dust off your super suit, get ready for some surreal swinging and make sure to follow us for more updates on the wacky worlds of Fallout and Skyrim modding.
