Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was hit with several leaks that had fans questioning if any of it was true. While some of them were debunked, one of them had evidence that was so definitive that Rocksteady had to confirm that they were, indeed, legitimate leaks.
On Twitter, Rocksteady acknowledged the mod and asked fans not to share them around so that players don’t get spoiled in the future. Naturally, they hope that players still give the game a shot, based on the story’s negative reception, though some think the premise is solid.
We won’t spoil Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League but fans will be able to find the story leaks if they’re internet savvy enough. Hopefully, the gameplay is a lot more fun than it looks, because the story will not make DC fans very happy, unless they hate, well, DC Comics.
It is unfortunate to see the hard work of these developers spoiled without warning, especially since this is an anticipated game. Luckily, the spoilers are easy enough to avoid for those who want to come in blind, but that doesn’t mean these developers aren’t annoyed.
Even if this isn’t the best DC story ever, there are some positives surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Batman fans will get to hear the late Kevin Conroy as the iconic character for one last time, which is always a treat. Rocksteady also listened to fan complaints and will be adding an offline mode for the story, which is something.
Unfortunately, even if we avoid all of the story spoilers, there’s still a lot of live-service stink that surrounds this title. New characters will be coming to the game as supposedly free DLC, though the shooter does have a Battle Pass for cosmetics-hungry players. That’s not enough, as fans are tired of live-service shenanigans from games.
