Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.
Many have focused on changing the game by adding interesting custom followers, Elden Ring-style headwear, and multiplayer functionality to it, with a few even going as far as replacing Meridia’s beacon with some bacon or making Nazeem look beautiful.
If you’re someone who’s more interested in finding somewhere interesting to chill out between dungeon delves and you don’t fancy living in a cave or a pocket dimension, a recently released mod might be worth taking a look at.
Fancy moving into a picturesque estate near Skyrim’s central city this weekend?
The mod in question is called ‘Lonewolf's Manor’, and is the work of modder Matini123, who seemingly goes by the name Lonewolf. Their sole previous project added an extremely lavish villa to the area just outside of Whiterun.
This time, they’ve decided to erect an estate that’s slightly less expansive and expensive, but still offers the ideal residence for any discerning Dragonborn that’s already earned their fortune from adventuring.
Located in a spot on the banks of the White River just north of Riverwood, this dashing demesne will set you back 10k gold, which makes it very competitively priced in comparison to the vanilla game’s selection of purchasable properties.
As you can see from the beautiful shots on the mod’s page, the manor’s interior features a litany of luxuriously furnished rooms and areas, including enough bedrooms to house a small army, multiple dining areas, and all of the gear you could possibly need for storage and crafting.
Also included is a massive indoor pool and a slightly more discrete bathing area, just in case you don’t fancy taking a dip right in the middle of a massive hall full of other activities, as well as a hidden display room and a spell book that can teleport you to cities across the province.
There’s also plenty to interact with and gaze at just outside the manor’s front door, with a huge garden catering to the green-thumbed, covered seating areas presenting the perfect perch from which to watch the home’s water wheel turn and a mine helping generate some materials for you to use at the forge.
Regardless of whether your Dragonborn is now heading off to stake their claim on this prime piece of real estate, make sure to follow us for more updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 and the interesting world of Skyrim modding. You can also check out our mods of the month for February 2023.
