Modders have put a lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the eleven years since it was first released into the world.
Some of these efforts have focused on revolutionising the game by adding massive new quests, huge mechanic overhauls or surreal door-based trickery to it, while others enact changes simply designed to make the game look and sound as beautiful as possible.
Meanwhile, a new mod caters to those who’re simply looking for a new God to worship during their next trip to Tamriel, giving a Daedric prince that isn’t present in vanilla Skyrim their own shrine in the province.
Want a different Daedric prince to worship during your next Skyrim playthrough?
The mod that does this is called ‘Daedric Shrines - Jyggalag’, and is the work of modder Mandragorasprouts. A lot of their previous work has also focused on helping those Skyrim residents who’ve opted to serve the denizens of Oblivion, having given the rest of its princes new statues and even revamped the masque of Clavicus Vile.
This time, they’ve decided to add a bust of Jyggalag, whom Oblivion players might remember as Sheogorath’s nemesis in the Shivering Isles DLC, to Skyrim, ensuring that those who care for order above all else have somewhere to worship.
Located in the Falkreath hold, the new shrine can even offer you a blessing thanks to a patch that ensures it’ll work with EnaiSiaion’s uber-popular ‘Wintersun - Faiths of Skyrim’, meaning that you won’t just have to try and gain power by attempting to mirror the statue’s stony glare.
That said, if your Dragonborn is a Jyggalag worshipper searching for an edge in combat, you could also grab Tartaross’ ‘Ordinem - Swords of Jyggalag’, which’ll gift them a new sword inspired by the appearance of the prince.
Regardless of whether your Dragonborn is now bringing order to Skyrim and cursing the name of the mad God, make sure to follow us for more updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 and the interesting world of Skyrim modding. You can also check out our mods of the month for November.
