Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.
Many have focused on changing the game by adding new unmarked locations, interesting wildlife, and tougher bandits to it, with a few even going as far as completely rejuvenating the unique abilities offered to each of Tamriel’s races or giving you the chance to become high priest of your own temple.
If you’re someone who’s more interested in finding somewhere cosy to chill out between dungeon delves and you don’t fancy living in a cave or a fort made of cheese wheels, a recently released mod might be worth taking a look at.
Fancy spending your Easter break enjoying the calming vibes of this Skyrim player home?
The mod in question is called ‘Seastone Bluff’, and is the work of modder GoatMistress. Some of their previous projects have given you the chance to move into a mage’s keep next to Lake Ilinalta and a cosy lodge in Morrowind.
This time, they’ve decided to add a luxurious estate with a three-story house to the stretch of coastline found to the north of Solitude, which you can even move your family into with the help of TMPhoenix’s ‘Hearthfire multiple adoptions - Now with custom home support for kids and spouse’.
The property, which formerly served as a remote Thalmor outpost, comes with all of the crafting and storage facilities even the most seasoned adventurer could ever need, as well as plenty of comfortable areas to relax and hang out.
Though, its most interesting feature might be ‘Seastone Grotto’, a network of caverns accessed via the home’s cellar, in which you’ll find a gently following spring, as well as plenty of mineable ore deposits and a smelter to turn the hunks of metal you pry from the subterranean rock into useful ingots.
Thankfully, the home also comes with a housekeeper named Za'bil, who’ll look after the place while you’re off adventuring, a feature that’ll be extra comforting if you’ve opted to download the version of it that converts the room aimed at adopted children into accommodation for a follower and like to take them with you on dungeon delves.
If you’re ready to move in, make sure you head into the manor through the front door and pick up the key and letter GoatMistress has left in its private quarters.
