Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had it rough for a while now and it looks like things aren’t getting better. The game’s Early Eccess period in New Zealand had to be pulled because of a hilarious bug that automatically completes the campaign for them.
Players in New Zealand were able to access the game early thanks to the Deluxe Edition having Early Access as a benefit for getting that version. VGC said Access to the game was only available for an hour before Warner Bros. pulled the plug due to the bug that completed the game for them.
“We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion,” the studio said on Twitter. To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers. During this time the game will be unavailable. We expect this to take several hours and will update once we have more information. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
This isn’t a great look for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as many gamers are already speaking negatively about the DC shooter. In addition to being another tired live-service game, leaks have made DC fans feel negatively toward the story, though there are claims that the post-game will improve things.
Early Access is always going to be a bit buggier than usual, but having one of those bugs finish the game for players is unique, if anything else. This obviously won’t get anyone a Platinum Trophy anytime soon and we hope that the devs fix it for the sake of gameplay. It’s a good thing that the game is getting an offline mode patched in sometime after launch.
