The presence of AI in Warzone 2 often splits the opinions of players dropping into Call of Duty’s battle royale. Despite its smaller layout, AI combatants appear on Ashika Island much to the annoyance of players.
With eyes slowly moving towards the start of Season Two Reloaded, Raven Software continues to adjust various elements of the game in a bid to maintain a smooth gameplay experience for everyone attempting to be the last player standing.
Following the arrival of the new Data Heist contract, the developer has finally nerfed Ashika Island AI much to the delight of the community.
Ashika Island AI nerfed
As part of the March 2 update, Raven Software has decreased the number of AI that appear when a Data Heist contract is active which comes in handy when trying to deal with numerous targets in one area of the map.
In addition to the AI nerf, the update addressed the poor visibility of the Data Heist objective in order to make it easier to see when players have started the objective.
The AI nerf is one step that’s guaranteed to improve the fast-paced action of Resurgence matches. However, there are other areas that still need tweaking. The recent arrival of the KV Broadside shotgun has transformed the current meta into a fiery inferno and fans are desperate for Raven Software to implement a nerf.

AI certainly adds a unique layer to the Warzone 2 experience but if there are too many armed with the ability to down players in the blink of an eye, is it worth considering a complete removal so the battle royale returns to a PvP offering? We’ll have to wait and see what Raven Software has in store.
