Insomniac Games and PlayStation were going to follow up on that Wolverine leak in one way or the other. Not only were the files of this game leaked, but a playable build was also released, which forced these companies to take rightful action.
Anyone who downloaded the build of this in-development Marvel game could play with it a bit via the Xbox dev mode. However, doing so means you’re connected to Insomniac’s interlog log, which means they can see who is playing their game and can directly send you DMCA notices (thanks ScreenTime).
Looking at the files for Wolverine is one thing but playing the build is going to get anyone into major trouble, so players shouldn’t think about it. While playing an incomplete PlayStation 5 game sounds neat, Insomniac has every right to take down what you play and maybe even take legal matters against you.
Simply put, anyone playing this leaked build of the game is screwed and they should stop that at any cost. There might be some charm in playing an incomplete game, but this one can lead to a possible arrest in the future, which is far from fun. Don’t download the playable build, just wait for the game to come out since it’s guaranteed to be a good time, given who’s making the game.
Hopefully, Insomniac can take solace in the fact that they made a must-have PlayStation 5 game in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It reviewed well, sold well, and is probably going to get DLC, which will hopefully lead to fans buying more PS5 systems. Spider-Man 2 also ended up being the highest-rated game Insomniac has ever made, giving us high hopes for the inevitable Spider-Man 3.

Marvel’s Wolverine has a lot of fans excited and the leak has helped in that, revealing some cool villains and side characters. Whether it can live up to the hype of Spider-Man is still unknown, though the game should be fun, regardless.
