There are "exciting" new features coming to Xbox Series S and X this year according to Jason Ronald, Microsoft's Director of Program Management.
Speaking on the official Xbox podcast (thanks, VGC), Ronald discussed the possibility of fresh updates coming to the new systems.
“As a team, we’re just really excited by this initial response from fans all around the world,” he explained.
“At launch, we say it all the time internally, this is really just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of really exciting things that are coming down the pipeline over the coming months and over the coming years.”

Xbox Series X and S Getting "Exciting" Platform Updates This Year
You can check out the podcast below, with Ronald discussing new features from around the 33-minute mark.
“There’s a lot coming… we can’t really say too much” host Larry Hryb added.
“I think that we’re going to have [Ronald back on the show] on sooner rather than later.”
As for what's first on the to-do list, Ronald revealed that Quick Resume is being looked at.
“We had to disable Quick Resume, on some titles in the launch window,” Ronald explained. “The team’s been working really hard to be able to re-enable those titles so that people are getting that great, quick resume experience on all the titles that people are playing."
It also seems achievement tracking is returning to the Xbox mobile app.
The Xbox One (and indeed 360) both saw their fair share of updates to their respective dashboards, but fans have already begun theorising that the company could look to adopt some kind of VR headset.
