With Tears of the Kingdom now having arrived, most Legend of Zelda fans have spent the majority of the past week and a bit relentlessly exploring the picturesque plains of Hyrule.
Regardless of how you chose to pass the time while waiting for Nintendo’s latest release to drop or what you’ve thought of its overall experience so far, odds are the array of Fuse-compatible items and interesting activities on offer will keep you entertained for a good while.
Though many have been busy cowering from Gloom Hands, and creating everything from killer Beyblades to useful elevators, for those who’re unable to stop being mesmerised by Purah’s glow up, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.
Are you keen to hang out with a giant version of Purah in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
The mod in question is simply called ‘Giant Purah’, and is the latest work of modder GTSHUG. One of their previous projects made the version of Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild a lot taller.
This time, they’ve decided to make everyone’s favourite over a hundred year old Sheikah lofty enough to be the MVP of Hyrule’s version of the NBA, which, let’s face it has probably been dominated by Ganondorf to this point, given his LeBron James-esque figure.
As you can see in the showcase video above, which also features giant versions of Essa the Gerudo and Riju, in order for Link to have anything close to a face-to-face chat with this new version of Purah, you’ll have to quickly build him an elevated platform, though the option is still there to whisper sweet nothings to the director of Hateno Ancient Tech Lab’s knees.
Or, I suppose, you might be able to somehow manufacture a height advantage over her by creating a rocket, but, let’s face it, if you’re interested in this mod, it’s because you want to watch a tiny Hylian lad be towered over by a large woman with the power to tell him what to do.
No matter what kind of interesting psychological itch the mod might be scratching for you, as you might imagine, in order to actually get it going, you’ll need to look into running Tears of the Kingdom via an emulator like Yuzu or Ryujinx.
Regardless of whether you’re now trying to say the word ‘mommy’ quietly enough that your housemates can’t hear you, make sure to follow us for a bunch of helpful guides that can aid your adventures in Hyrule by showing you how to find the secret Gerudo shop, grab a Hylian shield or unlock Skyview Towers.
