While we still have a ways to go before Kuki Shinobu makes her debut, all the materials she’ll need are available to grab right now, including a drop from the new Chasm boss, the Ruin Serpent.

Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu Materials
The second photo on this official post by Genshin Impact on Twitter confirms the Ascension materials we'll need for Kuki Shinobu. Here's what you need to level up:

If you're planning on leveling up Yelan as well, there will be overlap with the Runic Fang. If you don't want to grind that much, make sure to consider who would benefit your party the most before deciding which character to focus on.
You'll also need roughly 410 Hero's Wit to fully level Shinobu up.
Kuki Shinobu Talent Materials
If you want to level up Kuki's talents, this is what to aim for. Bear in mind that, as always, you're better off picking which talents suit your needs the most instead of trying to level them all up. If you want Shinobu as a healer, for example, focus on her Skill and maybe her normal attack.

Where to Farm Kuki Shinobu Materials
- Vajrada Amethyst
These are drops from the Electro Hypostasis in Mondstadt and the Thunder Manifestation on Seirai Island. The Thunder Manifestation is a more convenient boss to farm, since you'll be on Seirai Island for another material as well.
- Spectral-series items
Spectral Husk and its higher-leveled variations come from Specters. These enemies mostly call Seirai Island and Watatsumi Island their home, though you'll find them in greater numbers on Seirai Island.
- Runic Fang
This item drops from the new Rune Serpent boss in the Chasm, though as mentioned, you'll need it for Yelan as well.
- Naku Weed
Naku Weed is a rarer regional specialty in Inazuma. It grows in small numbers on Tatarasuna, northeast of the forge, but your best bet for farming it in greater quantities is, again, on Seirai Island. Check out they Teyvat Interactive map for full details.
- Elegance books
The Elegance-series items only come from the Violet Court Domain, though you can also earn them from in-game events on occasion.
- Mora
The best way to earn money in Genshin Impact is farming Leylines of Wealth, the golden bubbles on the world map. You'll get extra if you spend Condensed Resin to claim the rewards and even more if you complete the challenges during a Leyline Overflow event.
