Twitch personality, Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm struck a deal with production company, Skybound Entertainment to develop a narrative scripted television series.

Talking to the Hollywood Reporter, Beahm explained "We are pretty early in terms of the creative and the direction we want to take it," but then goes on to say that the show could very well be an origin story on “how the doctor became the doctor”. He also mentioned they've had some discussions on it being an animated series.
Dr Disrespect has become one of the most popular figures on the Amazon-owned platform boasting more than 3.8 million followers, amassing more than 100 million views and winning multiple Streamer of the Year awards.
There are lots of incredibly talented streamers, but there's something special about what Guy has done in creating this character,” explained Skybound co-founder and CEO David Alpert. “We really believe there's a unique world around the doctor."
This deal marks the first time a Twitch streamer and a production company working together to create a scripted narrative, it also highlights what has been an interesting year to be a Twitch streamer, with big names such as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who announced that he will be moving exclusively to Mixer in a deal rumoured to be worth upwards of $50 million.
So far no TV network has picked up the show however with Twitch being an Amazon company, that could open some doors to finding a home for the show whether its on its own Prime Video network or elsewhere.
