Sony's CES 2022 presentation yesterday been confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima now sold more than 8 million copies. Released back in July 2020, its quickly become one of the company's most successful IPs.
VentureBeat reports that the revelation about Ghost of Tsushima's latest feat was part of the segment for Sony's upcoming PlayStation Studios film and television projects. The game's official Twitter account posted their appreciation to fans who've supported them, stating:
"We're thrilled and amazed that #GhostOfTsushima has officially sold more than 8 million copies! Thank you so much to everyone who has played since launch! We are so incredibly appreciative and grateful for the support!"

Ghost Of Tsushima Sells 8 Million Copies Worldwide
Elsewhere a film adaptation for Ghost of Tsushima's also in the works. That's being directed by Chad Stahelski, who recently stated that "he wants to do it right," since he knows "how video game adaptions can go." Part of his statement confirmed:
"We just want to do it right. You know how video game adaptions can go. So we're taking our time and doing it right. We're working very closely with the game developers to make sure we stick to what's great about it."
