The Apex Legends Broken Moon map is the latest battleground to arrive in Respawn Entertainment's hero-based battle royale. The map features a set of brand-new points of interest (POI) to explore in addition to new mechanics that allow players to move around the map faster than ever before.
Broken Moon features areas heavily inspired by the idea of heaven and hell, resulting in several parts of the map containing lots of bright colours and others featuring plenty of darkness.

How big is the Apex Legends Broken Moon map?
According to the development team behind the creation of the map, Broken Moon is bigger than World's Edge giving players even more space to battle it out. Devs also revealed that the map has been in development since season eight, meaning it's taken over a year and a half for the new map to arrive.
Broken Moon map zip rails
Perhaps the most significant addition arriving with Broken Moon are zip rails. Similar to zip lines, the rails run all over the map and offer the chance for players to navigate the map as fast as possible.
Just like zip lines, weapon accuracy is heavily influenced while sliding along a zip rail so bear that in mind when attempting to eliminate an opponent while on the move.
Broken Moon map POIs
Broken Moon contains a total of 16 points of interest (POI). As with other Apex Legends maps, some POIs are significantly larger than others which could attract plenty of attention in the early stages of a match. Here's the full POI list for the Broken Moon map:
- Atmo B
- Alpha Base
- Breaker Wharf
- Kinetic Battery
- Dry Gulch
- Stasis Array
- Eternal Acres
- Solo Promenade
- Duo Promenade
- Production Yard
- Fortified Camp
- Cultivation
- Atmo A
- Terraformer
- Bionomics
- Void Torn
Although some of the POIs are bigger than others, the devs say all of them are balanced to suit all styles of play. This is great news for those that love to run and gun and those that prefer to utilise a slower pace of play in order to gain the upper hand to become the last squad standing.
Apex Legends Broken Moon release date
