There are an incredible number of things to do in Baldur's Gate 3, such as the Silent Library puzzle and many other quests, but what about the Gauntlet of Shar? Many gamers are curious to find all the Baldur's Gate 3 Gauntlet of Shar orb locations. Where are they?
This is a classic quest in the game, but gamers have been a little confused as to where to find all the necessary pieces of the orb and complete it.
But no worries, as we are here to help. Let's check out all the locations for the orb in Gauntlet of Shar and progress through this quest once and for all.
Gauntlet of Shar orb locations
Basically, the orbs are connected to the trials you will get in the Gauntlet of Shar. There are three trials plus one final gem, which you will find in Yurgir's lair. First, find Balthazar, who will get you out there to find Thorm's relic. Solve a trial and you will get a Umbral gem, which you can place in the pedestals you can find around the gauntlet.
Here is how to solve the three trials:
- Soft Step trial: get one party member ahead before you start the trial, to disarm all the traps. Then leave them there and get Shadowheart to activate the trial, so once activated it'll be just over.
- Self Same Trial: you'll fight shadow versions of yourselves, along with the whole party. If you get everyone back to camp, at least you can just fight yourself and that'll be quicker.
- Faith Step Trial: just walk carefully across the abyss with one party member alone, you should be able to get to the gem quickly.
Finally, Yurgir is in the eastern wing of the Gauntlet. You can ask him to try and kill off his henchmen, which should make the fight slightly easier as you can just direct all the attacks toward him. Even if you don't convince him that suicide is a great option, that should still make the fight easier. Get the last orb and use it on the pedestal.
That's all you have to do to solve the Gauntlet of Shar. For more guides on Baldur's Gate 3, why not check out the best mods?
