Like every Halloween, Destiny 2 welcomes the Festival of the Lost and 2023 is no different, with plenty of weapons and cosmetics to earn.
This time around, the 2023 Festival of the Lost will arrive to spice up the final weeks of Season of the Witch. With the weekly story all wrapped up, this is the perfect end-of-season side activity during the spooky season.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 - Start date
The Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 will start on the 17 October weekly reset, on Tuesday. There's no official date for when will it end but it'll most likely run all the way until Season of the Witch itself wraps up on 28 November.
Festival of the Lost Haunted Lost Sectors
Like the last few Festival of the Lost celebrations, Haunted Lost Sectors will be the primary way players will interact with the event. However, new for this year are Legend Haunted Sectors, a harder version of the usual spooky-themed Lost Sectors.
Eerie Engrams and Hocus Focusing
Another new resource for this year are Eeerie Engrams, which players can use to Hocus Focus (neat) for certain rewards.

Some very important notes regarding focusing:
- Players must own the expansion that the Exotic armor is tied to in order for it to be eligible to drop from Hocus Focusing).
- Required expansions for each Exotic armor piece are listed further below (The Forsaken Pack counts towards the Forsaken expansion requirement).
- Players will not need to have acquired the Exotic armor previously for it to be eligible to drop from Hocus Focusing.
- This means players who are still missing Exotic armor will have a chance to earn it from Hocus Focusing.
- Players will only receive Exotic armor for the class that they are currently playing while interacting with Hocus Focusing.
