With Destiny 2's new expansion Lightfall finally releasing and players making their way through the campaign, one question that is being asked is how do you unlock Final Warning?
Final Warning is one of the more exciting exotics to be shown off for this season. It's one of the few Strand weapons that is being introduced to the game, and it has a powerful perk, giving it a mode that fires homing bullets. So naturally you'll want to to get it for your Strand builds, and we'll tell you how.

How to unlock Final Warning in Destiny 2
Bungie showcased a good number of exotic weapons that we could unlock this season, but one a couple were apparent right off the bat. Final Warning is one of the ones that is unlocked after the campaign has been beaten. If you had into the Hall of Heroes on Neomuna and interact with the Pouka Pond pedestal, you'll see a quest listed there called "The Final Strand".
The Final Strand is a seven part quest. In order to get it, players will need to unlock every Strand upgrade on a single character. This means that you'll need to unlock all three grenade, both aspects, and all 14 fragments with Strand Meditations. This means that you'll have to collect a total of 3200 total Strand Meditations to unlock everything and pick up the quest.
The Final Strand quest steps
As we mentioned, the Final Strand is a seven part quest. Here's each quest step to unlock The Final Strand
- Step 1: Speak with Nimbus
- Step 2: Search the Veil Containment (where the final campaign boss was located). You'll kill a bunch of Cabal until Shadow Legion orders drop.
- Step 3: Retrieve the Veil spectrometer from the Typhon Imperator. Head into the entrance on the sides, and when you get to the opening that drops off to a long runway, drop down. You'll have to fight and chase a tormentor to get this.
- Step 4: Visit the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes.
- Step 5: Complete the Headlong Time Trial mission in Radiosonde in under 5 minutes 30 seconds.
- Step 6: Head back to the Pouka Pond.
- Step 7: Interact with the meditation pedestal to get your weapon
