Looking to start double jumping in Fae Farm? Wings can help with that, and the game really starts to open up once they've been unlocked. In this guide, we'll tell you how to get wings in Fae Farm.
You're not limited to the first pair you unlock either. One character will let you purchase differently styled wings if you're looking for a change. They each require some specific materials beyond the florin cost, however.
Alternate wings will need you to provide flowers of specific types and colours, so make sure to check out our flower guide to understand the complicated system. You can also use our guide to changing your animals' colours to make them match your new wings, too.
How to get wings in Fae Farm
Ready to fly away? You'll need to get through chapter three of the game's story to start the quest that grants you wings. Chapter four is basically all about getting wings, so beating its first two quests is the key to getting your starter pair.
The quests are as follows:
- Finding the wisp mother
- Raising expectations
- Taking flight
- Journey to the Other Side
Wings will be available after completing the Raising Expectations quest. In it, the Wisp Mother tasks you with gathering three Flutter Dust, and to do so you'll need to craft a lowlands critter conservatory. Crafting one requires:
- Beech lumber (5)
- Stone brick (5)
- Plant fibres (20)
- Silt (20)
Lumber and brick require you to have a lumber station and stone forge respectively, so it's basically a roadblock to make sure you've got everything you need. After crafting the conservatory, putting butterflies in it will see them leave some flutter dust behind after a short duration. Take three flutter dust back to the Wisp Mother to finally get your wings.
How to get different wings
As useful as they are, the default wings might not be to your taste. They can't be unequipped without losing the ability to double-jump, so you'll need to speak to the Wisp Mother and open her shop to see the alternatives.

These use a lot of late-game resources and hard-to-get flowers, so you'll likely want to start grinding for wings after getting to at least chapter 7 in the main story. Polished gems should only be crafted after you've unlocked all of the game's fast travel spots, too.
That's all for this guide to wings. Be sure to check out our guide to getting frost fuzz and growing your own frost beets while you're here - they'll help you make your way through Fae Farm's confusing end-game.
