Pokemon Speed in Scarlet and Violet - Fastest Pokemon List
In Scarlet and Violet, there are many different ways you can make your Pokémon stronger. But the most crucial role is played by the base stats. There are six in total:
- HP
- Attack
- Defense
- Special Attack
- Special Defense
- Speed
Each of them is important during battle and you have to consider the stats of each of your Pokemon, especially when choosing a Nature that can increase its strengths. There is one stat that's arguably the most important though. We're talking about Speed.
Speed is the stat that can drastically change the outcome of a battle. If your Pokemon's Speed is higher than your opponent's, you will attack first. And you can imagine how many benefits this can bring. It's the perfect opportunity to take advantage of enemy type weaknesses.
Fastest Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
To increase the Speed stat, you can use various features. For example, you can choose Natures such as Timid, Hasty, Jolly, or Naive. You can also Hyper Train your Pokemon's Speed stat.
However, for these methods to be effective, a Pokemon must have a high base Speed stat. And based on that, we've put together a list of the fastest Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Electrode (Speed - 150)
So, the fastest Pokémon in the game is Electrode. This Electric-type Pokemon has 150 base Speed, and if you use the methods mentioned above, you can increase it to 333. Fortunately, you can easily find and catch Electrode near the cities in East Province (Area Three) and West Province (Area Three). Alternatively, you can evolve a Voltorb to get the fastest Pokemon in the game.
Dragapult (Speed - 142)
Slightly slower than Electrode, but still a very fast Pokemon, Dragapult is a Dragon and Ghost-type Pokemon available exclusively to Pokemon Violet players, as only in this game can you catch Drakloak in the northern Paldea region and evolve it into Dragapult. But Pokemon Scarlet players can get it by trading with a friend.
Barraskewda (Speed - 136)
The third place goes to the Water-type Pokemon, Barraskewda. You can find and catch Barraskewda almost anywhere in the region in a river or the sea. But it is worth noting that under certain circumstances, this Pokemon can temporarily become the fastest in the game. Its ability is called Swift Swim and doubles the Pokemon's speed stat when it rains.
Iron Bundle (Speed - 136)
The Iron Bundle is one of the Pokemon Paradox available exclusively to Pokemon Violet players. After completing all three storylines, you will be able to catch this Ice and Water-type Pokemon in Area Zero, but Pokemon Scarlet players will have to trade with Pokemon Violet players to get it.
Koraidon (Speed - 135)
And the fourth place goes to one of the best Mount Pokemon in the series. It is a Fighting and Dragon-type Pokemon exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet players. Even though you get this Pokemon at the very beginning of the game, its battle form will be blocked. And you will need to complete all three storylines to reach the final and defeat another Koraidon. Only after that will you be able to use your Koraidon in battle.
Miraidon (Speed - 135)
It would be strange if Miraidon was weaker and slower than Koraidon. Fortunately, the stats of these Pokemon are equal, which means that this Electric and Dragon-type Pokemon also ranks as the 4th fastest Pokemon. But just like with Koraidon, you need to complete the story to start sending Miraidon into battle.
Chien-Pao (Speed - 135)
The fourth place is really very roomy because, in addition to two mount Pokemon, it also holds the game's legendary Pokemon. Chien-Pao is a Dark and Ice-type Pokémon that is quite hard to find. To capture it, players must first find eight Yellow Stakes and open the yellow Shrine.
Flutter Mane (Speed - 135)
And last on our list is the fourth Pokemon in the fourth place among the fastest. Flutter Mane is another Paradox Pokemon available exclusively for Pokemon Scarlet players. To catch this Ghost and Fairy-type Pokemon in Area Zero, you will need to complete all the story quests.
That's all you need to know about the fastest Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. As you can see, our list includes both Pokemon available for all players and exclusive ones.
Therefore, each player will be able to find the fastest Pokemon, regardless of their version of the game. But if your goal is to complete the Paldea Pokedex, you will have to trade with other players to get those Pokemon that are not in your game. And although it will take a lot of time, it is worth it.
