New clubs in FIFA 23
- Juventus
- Rangers (new deal)
- Celtic (new deal)
- Tottenham Hotspur (new deal)
- Mamelodi Sundowns
To help make FIFA 23 the biggest football game yet, there are over 19,000 players and 700 teams at your disposal. Most of them have been in the game for years, including stalwarts such as Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. However, a couple of clubs are debuting, or returning, to the FIFA series.
Chief of all is the return of Juventus, the iconic Italian club. They were removed from FIFA several years ago after failing to come to a new licensing agreement with EA Sports. For a few entries we had to use the first-party equivalent Piemonte Calcio, featuring all the real players, but fictional kits and stadiums. That's all changed now though, with the club and all its associated iconography returning.

Additionally, historic Scottish clubs Rangers and Celtic have also renewed their deals with EA Sports for FIFA 23. Both clubs were already in past titles with their actual kits, but with fake player faces and fictional stadiums. This time around, player faces are being scanned in for both clubs, making it all more realistic. The same applies to the South African team Mamelodi Sundowns.
Lastly, EA Sports has also signed a new deal with north London club Tottenham Hotspur. We already had player face scans and the revamped Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so this is likely just to claim exclusivity before EA loses the rights to the FIFA franchise next year.
New leagues in FIFA 23
- Serie BKT
- MLS (new deal)
- Saudi Pro League (new deal)
- Liga Profesional de Fútbol de Argentina (nw deal)
On top of the new clubs, several new leagues are making their way to FIFA 23. The primary addition is Serie BKT, the Italian second division that is one step below Serie A.
EA Sports has also signed new deals with a bunch of existing in-game leagues, including the MLS, Saudi Pro League, and Liga Profesional de Fútbol de Argentina. Since they were already in previous FIFA games, this is probably the same deal as Spurs: EA marking their stamp prior to a new rival hitting the scene next year.
Lastly, EA has also signed a deal with La Liga to expand their coverage in-game. that includes accurate depictions of domestic cups such as the Copa Del Rey, and new broadcast packages.
New stadiums in FIFA 23
- Allianz Stadium
- La Bombonera
- Europa-Park Stadion
- Banc of California Stadium
- El Sadar Stadium
- Zorilla Stadium
- Philips Stadium
- Academy Stadium
Lastly, there are some new stadiums arriving in FIFA 23. The most exciting addition is Allianz Stadium, best known as the home of Juventus. It really doesn't come as a surprise, considering the new deal the Old Lady struck with EA Sports.

On top of that, look out for Boca Juniors' La Bombonera, SC Freiburg's Europa-Park Stadion, LA FC's Banc of California Stadium, and even more. The remaining new stadiums are CA Osasuna's El Sadar Stadium, Real Valladolid's Zorilla Stadium, Philips Sport Vereniging Eindhoven's Philips Stadium, and finally the Manchester City Women's Academy Stadium.
Evidently, there are a whole lot of new clubs, stadiums, and leagues coming to FIFA 23. That's without even considering the range of gameplay features, including a revamped chemistry mechanic in Ultimate Team. With more content than ever, it's another strong year for FIFA.
