Yes, to get Optimus Prime, you'll need to buy the traditional 100-level Battle Pass that comes out at the start of the season. Then, you'll need to level it up and spend your battle stars on rewards, up until you reach the final prize of them all: the Optimus Prime skin.
As you'd expect, this will take an awful lot of grinding. You'll have to get to level 100 of regular seasonal progression to get enough currency to purchase the final Optimus Prime skin, which is bound to take you a good few months.
However, there's also a chance that we'll see a few extra Optimus Prime skins landing in the seasonal rewards that go beyond the battle pass.
