With the start of Chapter 5 Season 2 and the arrival of a Greek mythology-themed season that includes new POIs and a battle pass filled with cosmetics themed around Greek gods, players will also get a chance to obtain a new look for the iconic Midas, one of the most recognisable original Fortnite characters alongside Jonesy or Peely.

Fortnite Rise of Midas Cup schedule and format
The Fortnite Rise of Midas Cup kicked off on March 24, 2024. The start time varies depending on your region but Epic Games has stated that the official times will be displayed in the compete tab inside the game.
It's a Solos Battle Royale tournament so better hone those skills before the tournament begins.
How to participate
To enter the Fortnite Rise of Midas Cup simply select the cup in the Fortnite competitive tab at the start of the tournament and join the queue. Players must have two-factor authentication enabled and verified on their Epic account and be at least account level 50 to participate.
Scoring system
You'll have three hours to play in up to 10 matches. Points are awarded for eliminations and placements. Placement points are as follows:
- Victory Royale: 30 points
- 2nd: 25 points
- 3rd: 22 points
- 4th: 20 points
- 5th: 19 points
- 6th: 17 points
- 7th: 16 points
- 8th: 15 points
- 9th: 14 points
- 10th: 13 points
- 11th - 15th: 11 points
- 16th - 20th: 9 points
- 21st - 25th: 7 points
- 26th - 30th: 5 points
- 31st - 35th: 4 points
- 36th - 40th: 3 points
- 41st - 50th: 2 points
- 51st - 75th: 1 point
You'll also get 1 point per elimination.
Fortnite Rise of Midas Cup prizes
The top-placing players in each region will receive the following cosmetics for free:
- Ascendant Midas skin
- Golden King’s Cape back bling
- The Golden Touch pickaxe
- Golden Ascension Wrap
The pickaxe and wrap will be released with update 29.10. Furthermore, scoring eight points will net you the Rise of Midas loading screen seen below.
