Automated Wiring is a mid-to-late-game resource in Satisfactory that players need to craft to progress through the game's tech tiers. It's one of the Project Assembly Parts required for completing deliveries that unlock new tiers and is also used to craft other advanced components.
As you build more complex factories, it helps connect machines and automation systems, making it possible to scale up your operations. Our guide explains how to craft Automated Wiring in Satisfactory and use it effectively in your factory.
How To Craft Automated Wiring in Satisfactory
At first, you may assume Automated Wiring can be crafted at the Craft Bench since basic items like Wire and Screws are made there. You need to use an Assembler to craft more complex items like Automated Wiring.
Automated Wiring becomes available once you unlock Tier 4: Advanced Steel Production, which you can access after completing Space Elevator Phase 1. If this tier is still locked for you, focus on gathering the necessary materials to complete the Space Elevator's early phase.
You can also unlock an Alternate Recipe called Automated Speed Wiring by completing research in the MAM (AI Limiter). This recipe speeds up production, though it requires more resources and an advanced production facility. Here’s how to make it happen:
Crafting Recipe for Automated Wiring
To craft 1 unit of Automated Wiring, you'll need an Assembler and the following resources:
- 1 Stator – Crafted using:
- 3 Steel Pipes (crafted from Steel Ingots)
- 8 Wire (crafted from Copper Ingots)
- 20 Cable – Made from Wire. You’ll need two units of Wire to produce 1 Cable.
Once you have these materials, you can combine them in an Assembler to craft Automated Wiring.
Alternate Recipe for Automated Speed Wiring
If you unlock the alternate recipe, you can craft Automated Speed Wiring using:
- 2 Stators
- 40 Wire
- 1 High-Speed Connector
This alternative method increases output but requires more complex materials and a Manufacturer for efficient production.
Automated Wiring is primarily used for deliveries in the Space Elevator, allowing players to unlock further technology tiers. You’ll need:
- 100 units for Space Elevator Phase 2
- 750 units for Phase 3
- 5000 units for Phase 4
- 2500 units for Phase 5
Automated Wiring is also required for crafting items like the Adaptive Control Unit. If you have an excess supply, you can put it into the AWESOME Sink for extra points.
Crafting Automated Wiring demands large quantities of Copper, so it's wise to establish a robust Copper supply chain early on, especially if you plan to scale up production.
