Astro Bot channels the spirit of the Uncharted series in a compact action level packed with impressive set pieces. The Dude Raiding level requires you to find three mysterious golden eggs to unlock a hidden bronze trophy. While tracking down three egg artifacts may sound easy, they are cleverly tucked away.
These can be discovered in any sequence during different playthroughs of the level, and the open crate at the start reveals the items that have been collected. Our guide walks you through the locations of all the golden egg treasures, ensuring none remain undiscovered.
How to Defeat the Giant Snake Boss
The Dude Raiding level is at the far end of Serpent Starway in Astro Bot. This level is locked until you conquer the giant snake boss, a.k.a. Lady Venomara. The snake boss is the third encounter in Astro Bot, and 100 bots need to be saved to unlock it. The battle will unfold in two main phases, which will test your timing and dodging skills.
Lady Venomara unleashes a toxic mist over the battlefield in the first phase. Dodge this by leaping onto the pillars with the Rooster Booster. She then executes her Slither Attack, slithering and aiming at different spots. Her strike can be predicted by looking for marks on the ground, giving time to dodge.
As she slithers in this phase, blue rings on her body become visible, and your objective is to target those rings. After landing hits, advance toward her chin for a strike. The arena shrinks once she drills into the battlefield. Stay in the center to avoid being knocked off. After two chin strikes, her tongue will be revealed—grab it to activate phase two.
Lady Venomara begins the second phase by releasing two purple eggs that move around the battlefield. Utilize your Rooster Booster to avoid the eggs and move closer to her. Once the eggs are out of the way, focus on hitting her chin to bring her down.
All three Dude Raiding Egg locations
Early in the level, you will find a Nathan Drake Bot that tosses you a gun. After rescuing him and using his pellet gun to defeat enemies, the search for the eggs begins. Below are the locations of the three Dude Raiding eggs:
Dude Raiding Egg #1
After reaching the area where the plane crashed, you will see a tree and a small platform tucked away behind the main path. Drop down from the platform's edge onto the lower level to reach it. This drop can be easy to miss without thorough exploration. You will notice a wall with four stone faces etched into it.
Each face can be rotated by hitting them with the Square button or using the R2 trigger to fire your weapon. Rotate the blocks until each face reveals a squinting look, as if hidden behind a mask. The wall will light up once all the faces are in the correct arrangement. The wall will then slide open, revealing a hidden compartment where the first golden egg artifact in the Dude Raiding level is located.
Dude Raiding Egg #2
Land in an area filled with silver turtles swimming in circles after sliding down the grassy ramp. Immediately turn to the right, and two turtles can be seen bobbing up and down in a loop. Jump onto the first turtle and use them as stepping stones to reach the platform behind them. When you reach the platform, head right and gather any coins you find as you go.
The path will soon lead to pillars rising from the water. Climb these pillars by hopping from one to the other as you make your way up. Eventually, you'll reach the top of the structure, where a far-off tower stands. Use your hover ability to drift over to the lone tower at the top, where the second egg awaits you.
Dude Raiding Egg #3
The last egg is hidden in the temple at the end of the level, immediately after the stone turtle head takes you inside. After that, enter a chamber lined with skull heads, where your task is to scale the large rope at the center to find your way out. The egg is concealed along the rope climb, so watch your surroundings.
Before you start climbing, watch for slime enemies lurking higher up the rope. Although these can complicate your climb, you can simplify things by taking out a few caged enemies with R2 and L2 to minimize threats. Take a moment to rotate the camera and see what’s behind Astro Bot as you make your way up the rope. About midway up, a hidden platform behind the rope can be easy to miss.
It overlooks the torches seen upon entering the room. After spotting the hidden platform, leap off the rope and glide over to reach it. As soon as you face the enemy that breathes fire, perform a spinning attack to defeat it and clear the way ahead. Once the enemy is defeated, check out the platform featuring the third egg on an altar.
