Here are some must-haves for the fight:

  • Upgrade Your Healing Gourd: Looking at the damage the Whiteclad Noble can deal quickly, it is necessary to upgrade your Healing Gourd through the Shen Monkey.
  • Simian Agility: As with most boss fights in Black Myth: Wukong, you need to be tactical—use dodges or run to save yourself from the devastating attacks. The downside? It takes tons of stamina (especially when we talk about dodging). Here, Simian Agility is your go-to.

It is advised not to go into battle without investing in these resources. If you don’t have Sparks now, consider fighting some enemies to gather some.

Lastly, the Immobilize Spell and Red Tides Transformation are vital. The former can help you deal extra damage to the Whiteclad, while the latter will help you gain an additional health bar and new skills.

To guarantee a victory against the Whiteclad Noble, you have to be patient. This is due to the aggressiveness of this boss—it attacks fast, cleverly, and unexpectedly. So, you have to spend time learning his moves.

Most of his attacks will involve you having to dodge either backward or toward the side. And when the Whiteclad Noble transforms to half serpent, half human—he can perform a range of melee and long-range attacks, including ones where he elevates into the air.

To win the first phase, you must regularly use light combos.

Once he finishes an attack, jump in to deal damage with the light combos. Be quick, however, because the boss is quite fast with counters. Once you’ve dealt two or three blows, immediately back off and repeat the same strategy until you deplete his health bar.

As the second phase begins, he will start using more complex moves—alongside numerous attacks from the previous phase. Here, you’ll see the boss using more long-range combos against you, so you have to time each dodge perfectly.

You should also turn into Guangzhi, using his spirit to deal more damage with melee and not depleting your main character's health.

Since most combos will be long-range, maintain your distance and wait for him to attack first. Once that happens, jump in on the offense, land a few blows, and return to maintaining a far-off distance again. Use the Immobilize Spell with Guangzhi to gain an additional window to deal more damage—or if you need time to heal.
