How to unlock wheel recipe in LEGO Fortnite
Even though Wheels are fairly easy to craft in LEGO Fortnite, you have to spend some time before you unlock them. Like other blueprints, Wheels are unlocked only after you find one of the necessary resources. The resource you need is dropped from cactus, which grows only in the desert biome.
If you're lucky, this desert will be pretty close to your starting biome. But if not, you may have to spend many hours finding its location and travelling to it. In addition, to cut down a cactus you will need a Rare Axe which can be crafted from 5 Cut Amber and 3 Knotroot Rods.
After this, all you have to do is destroy a couple of them in the desert biome and collect the Flexwood. This way, you will unlock the blueprint for crafting Small and Large Wheels. You will also receive a Dynamic Foundation blueprint, which is an essential item you'll need if you want to craft vehicles.
How to craft wheels in LEGO Fortnite
All you need to craft Wheels in LEGO Fortnite is Flexwood. You need to process part of this resource into Flexwood Rods which requires a Lumber Mill to extract the resource from its rods.
Luckily, this particular crafting station is very easy to build. You just need to collect 8 Wood and 15 Granite. And trust us, you will use it very often.
Finally, bring the collected Flexwood to the Lumber Mill and process it into Flexwood Rods. But don't forget to leave some Flexwood. Then, using the build menu, craft Dynamic Foundation from 4 Flexwood. After that, select which Wheels you want for your vehicle and attach them to the Foundation:
- Small Wheels - 1 Flexwood Rod, 1 Flexwood
- Large Wheels - 1 Flexwood Rod, 2 Flexwood
Before you tighten the bolts on your freshly created vehicle, it's worth noting that the Dynamic Foundation with multiple Wheels is only suitable for driving down hills. Therefore, you need to craft a Thruster, which will replace the engine of your vehicle. You will also need an Activation Switch so that you can control the mechanism, although this is not very convenient.
