How To Use Server Commands In Minecraft
There are two ways to use server commands: directly in Minecraft and with software.
To initiate a command in the game, players must use the chat. Press 'T' to open the chat, and type in forward-slash "/" before the command. This tells the client to identify the following text as a command, not a message.
To use commands remotely from server software, open the console and type in the command. However, the software console doesn't need forward-slash, so you can type in the command directly into the chatbox.
