How do Palworld dungeons work?
Palworld dungeons, scattered across the Palpagos Islands, serve as enclosed challenge areas. While the terrain above ground might have enemies, the dungeon bosses are the real deal. Fighting them might test both your skill and the effectiveness of the Pals accompanying you, but it's well worth it as you will be rewarded greatly.
If you manage to find a dungeon and clear the dungeon boss, you'll get plenty of loot. So, watch out for cave entrances during your gameplay, and delve into the dungeons when you're ready. You can find a dungeon in the small settlement northwest of the Plateau of Beginnings fast travel point, just behind the merchant's house.
However, make sure to gear up when you're entering a dungeon, as the enemies won't go easy on you. When you come across a dungeon, pick your best fighter Pals and weapons to deal maximum damage against the tricky opposition.
Don't take too long though, as there's a chance that the dungeon will disappear, and you will need to wait for it to respawn. This is because dungeons operate on a 300-minute timer, which means that it will vanish when the countdown reaches zero.
As the locations are fixed, the dungeon will reappear later at the same location. Once you're inside the dungeon, you're safe, as the timer will stop now that you've entered. Take your time and work your way through the dungeon, defeating the enemies that you come across.
When you come across your first Palworld dungeon, it should be around level 13. This should be a suitable level for you to defeat, as long as you know how to fight with your Pals. You'll also be able to catch uncommon Pals in the Palworld dungeons that you won't find elsewhere.
Inside the dungeon, you'll find a large central area that branches out to different paths. Exploring these may result in treasure at the end of the path, but sometimes, you might find nothing but a dead end. Don't get discouraged though—defeating the dungeon boss will fetch you the real treasure.
Once you find the boss of the dungeon, you'll need to use your best Pals to fight it. Clearing it is a great way to level up and get some rare items in Palworld, as you'll get two chests full of rewards. Plus, there will be a teleporter that takes you back above ground.
